Testimony

Well, at long last…..my project is DONE.  Four years in the making from pen to packaging, but it’s finally finished.  Praise Jesus for the awesome talent he provided to be a part of this album.  Boy did we have a blast putting it together!  Hey, that’s what it’s all about….as much the journey as the end result! J

The album is called “Don’t Look Back” (Philippians 3:13-14). The songs come from a heart that’s “been there”.  From a life devastated by tragedy of fire, attempted murder, divorce & death to a life of victory in Jesus Christ, He’s brought me a long way from total despair (and pondering the reason I was even here), to knowing EXACTLY what I was born to do.  Thank God, through Jesus, I never gave up….I almost did.  But, there was always this little light shining, like a candle flicker in a black cave.  It’s amazing how bright a little light can be when everything else is so dark. (Hebrews 13:5-6)

That light was Jesus, whom I’d given my life to when I was 4.  The hell-raiser (Satan) had talked me out of the power I actually had.  I was and am a child of the Most High God!  I somehow had forgotten that during my troubles.  But Jesus never did.  He fought for me.  It was a real tug of war, but God won….and here I am

Sharing the love of Jesus to a brokenhearted world, that’s what it’s all about.  We have no right to condemn others or “beat people over the head” with religion to save them into the kingdom. But, to love them where they’re at…like Jesus did. (Romans 13:9-10).  When I was hangin’ with a rough crowd, I didn’t need anybody telling me I was wrong…I already knew it!  What I needed was someone to remind me that Jesus still loved me, despite my mistakes and shortcomings. He was just waiting for me to come back to Him – no condemnation.  Thank you, Jesus, for sending me pure, loving people to help me find my way back!  (Romans 8:1-2)

I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember in all types of venues… Cowboy Churches, many churches, Revivals, Rodeos, a Political Rally, Trail Rides, Benefits, Fairs, Festivals, etc.

As the Lord has developed me in my ministry, I no longer just sing…..I minister (teach) the Word of God.  It’s ALWAYS exciting to see the way He still touches people in our world today, just as He did long ago (Hebrews 13:8).  I am so humbled and grateful to have not become hardened by my past, but to understand through my past the great Love God has for us.  Because He loved me, I can share His love to other people who are worn out, tired, broken-hearted or just trying to fill “the void”. (John 3:16-18)

One of the main things we need to remember, though, is that we have an enemy. It’s Satan. The closer we get to the Lord, the harder he tries to discourage us (I Peter 5:8 ; John 10:10). He’s the one that causes bad things to happen to us, not God. If we allow Satan to have an upper-hand in our lives….we’re toast.  But, here’s the good news! Through Jesus’ death on the Cross and Resurrection from the grave, we have victory over our lives and circumstances.  We have only to walk in simple Faith, as children of the living God. We were given the power to overcome (Philippians 4:4-8 & 13; Matthew 17:20).  And, He walks with us EVERY step of the way. (Psalms 23; John 16:33; Jeremiah 29:11,13).

Thanks for stoppin' by!   "Ya'll come back!"

GOD BLESS YOU!
